Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Disability
Division, organized an Exhibition in collaboration with the Dept.
of Women, Child Development and Disability, Government of Andhra
Pradesh.
The National institute of Social Defence participated
in an exhibition on Disability Access -2003, A National Exhibition
on Assistive Devices, Barrier Free Feature, at Hyderabad from
22nd to 26th July 2003 and setup a stall which included inter-alia
information on the welfare schemes for older persons run by different
Ministries and Departments. Information on the activities under
Project NICE run by the Institute- i.e. 3 Month, 6 Month, 1 Year
Post Graduate Diploma Course in Integrated Geriatric Care, besides
the results of the door to door surveys done by the students of
the 6 month course were displayed.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Union
Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment on 22nd July, 2003.
Hon'ble Union Minister for Railways and Minister of State (Disabilities),
State Government of Andhra Pradesh were the Guests of Honour.
